Competitor analysis is an integral part of any marketing strategy, be it offline or online.

One of the key determinants of the success of a SEO/ SEM campaign is to do an extensive research on what your competitors are doing. Practically it is not possible to get exact statistics of a competitor’s website without having access to the web analytics tool used by them.

SEMRUSH has a paid version too. The monthly changes range from USD 69.95 to USD 549.95.

However, USD 149.95/ month is the best bet. My reasons are:

–          5000 report a day – a lot indeed!!

–          50 Projects – Good for a startup.

–          1500 keywords to track.

Buying the annual plan saves a few good bucks.

The purpose of using SEMRUSH should be limited to competitor analysis. At no point you can use this as a web analytics tool replacement. It gives a more that decent idea of what your competitors are doing ad how are they investing on their marketing efforts.
